Trans Black SLSMG?

Was wondering if anyone has seen one of these for sale recently. I know they were available not too long ago, but I'm having a hard time finding one. Black and trans red (aka FWR) seem to be the current colors de jure.

Any help would be appreciated.

The trans finish ones were a Guitar Center special run, but maybe you knew that already. I think they also had full body/neck/headstock binding unless I'm totally mistaken.

Your best bet would probably be eBay, but maybe there's a few still sitting around at a GC somewhere?

My fwr one was only 350, has a few dings though. Theres quite a few popping up on ebay for some big money and aint movin' so who knows what will happen to them. I'd love a trans black to complete the set but I gots the floyd bug bad and one stringthrough is enough [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

I have almost all Floyded guitars, and only a couple of String through.. My next no trem guitar will be the COW DK7

I didn't know they were a GC special. I called the local GC today just to see if they had one sitting around, dinged up or otherwise. No joy. Guess I'll have to give up on getting a new one and start trolling eBay. Bleh.

Remember reading there were 50 black and 50 red in this run, but not sure if that´s the actual amount.

Well, I just found out that Musician's Friend was moving the trans black and trans red SLSMG's out for $699 as late as March of this year. [img]/images/graemlins/eyes.gif[/img] Leave it to me to be a day late if not a dollar short.

Ive never seen a ebony board on the Surfcaster... those guitars are cool. I dont think I would ever own one because I couldnt get my tone out of em.. but they are so cool...

Oh yeah, the trans black and red were Musician's Friend specials, but I remember Matt saying that Jackson still had them in their inventory and he could order them. This was last year, though.
