• Help Iding a Jackson Professional Guitar

Could anyone help identify this guitar that I saw today I'd appreciate it.

Says Jackson Professional on the headstock, regular pointy headstock, 2 humbuckers (no names on the tops), blue body with maple neck and fretboard, Jackson floyd rose, serial # 400435, the truss rod cover says Dinky Rev?, and it's a bolt on.

I could go back if any more info is needed, I'm asking because my cheap friend is looking for a guitar and want's to know more about it. Thanks.

Sounds like a Dinky Reverse.(1992-1995) Are the inlays offset to the top of the fretboard?

Yep, Dinky Reverse. I actually had two of them... one had MOP offset dot inlays, the other had reverse sharkfins.

Dinky Reverses only came with the offset dots.

Your other one was a Dinky RV-S, only offered in 1995.

Oh. I remember one did have Rev on the truss rod cover, the other had Rvs on it. I thought that was just a different designation for pretty much the same guitar.

            RVS meant Reverse with Sharks

The Dinky Reverse also had no humbucker mounting surrounds.

Both the Dinky Reverse and Dinky RV-S had direct-mounted pickups.

The old Jackson Pro's are really nice guitars. I don't think you can really go wrong. Typically inexpensive as well.
