Chronologically that is..

The serial number is 9615158.

Am I correct in thinking it is a 1996?

Next question is do the 96 DK1s have the same neck specs?

Does it say "Professional" on the head? They stopped that when, about 98?
Also I'm not 100% sure but I think the number of digits in the "96" serials determines the year - 1996s had 6 numbers, 1997s had 7, etc etc.

96 and 97 necks should be the same. I've got one that's really thin compared to my 2002 DK2 I used to have.

Also, remember the DX2, same as the current DK2 but with black hardware. I wish they still used black hardware on the DK2`s. Then they used smoked chrome hardware in between the black and chrome of today. I would love to buy a DX2. Jack.
