• lurker needs help with kelly ID

hey guys, been reading alot of the forums recently trying to figure out what guitar ive been playing for the past 5 or 6 years and im still stumped..if needed ill get some pics up but heres the basics:
black kelly, w/black hardware and licensed floyd,24 frets, volume, 3 way switch, shark fin inlays and just says 'jackson' on the head stock, SN 98110240.....pulled the stock pickups and they were labeled M-214 and M-213, which i saw mentioned that they were actually kent armstrong units and apparently jackson had a deal signed with them for a short while or something? bought it off ebay a long time ago and have since forgotten what it is...

any help is much aprreciated....and whats this thing worth nowadays?

thanks guys

98 means Made in Japan (I think). Need more details....bolt on? Fretboard material? Bound or non bound? Probably a KE3.

i had that pups too in one of my ps6ts
i swapped them
i have 1 with ond 2 without "ps6t" on the tussrodcover
but ps6ts have no sharks, and ps seriesmodels normally read "performer" near by the jackson logo
so think it should be a ke3 or something
for t(he) worth (nice word-play he) i would say:
it depends on what people are willing to pay
for example in germany about 400$ in the states about 300$

Lack of tone knob IDs this as a KE3, just as I predicted.
Made In Japan, originally came with Duncan Designed pups.

Now stain that fretboard, and get a better amp!

Incorrect. KE-3's have JT-580 trems, a much thinner neck( you can see in the pic that it's a bat) and have a tapered heal...this one is not. They also do not have generic neck plates. This is a JK-20 Pro from Musicians Friend from '99 or so.
