  • Help to identify Dinky model

    Good morning/afternoon/evening guys.

I need help identifying this Dinky:

    Reverse headstock
    Rosewood fingerboard w/ silver sharkfins
Black finish on headstock and body
    Chrome floyd rose and nut
White Jackson logo on the headstock
    Duncan design pickups
3 volume/tone knobs (and a small one that looks like a killswitch)
    Blade switch
    Serial number 9689737

From the catalouge search it looks like a 06’ DX10D Mij with two extra knobs.
What do you make of it? A DX10D with some aftermarket knobs?

Perhaps a DX10DFS. Match it with the images here: https://www.google.ca/search?q=dx10d...iw=958&bih=936

The FS stands for Firestorm, a Duncan boost circuit: https://www.google.ca/search?num=100....0.xwC6NSlxUKA

Yep. Thats the one, no doubt about it.

Good guitar? Owner wants 200-250 bucks for it (including some cables, a stand and some old amp crap)
If its in good shape, is it worth it?

Certainly. Japanese made should indicate a well made guitar.
          96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.
