  • New UK guy...Jacksons on the brain!

Hi guys. I am new around these parts. Got myself a Jackson RR3(in need of a body). A Charvel and another Jackson...which I always assumed to be a dinky of some form. Recently I was told it was a Type 4 (? What the hell is a type 4?) But thought I would introduce myself and see what was said.
Its a normal angled headstock. dot inlays. 2 point vintage style trem, bolt on neck, made in India. serial njhl08005990.

The Charvel has been unearthed from 20 years of bedroom dust and is due a bit of TLC to get her playing nicely again!

Hope I havent upset anyone by asking about the ID of my little Jackson import. But I would atleast like to know if I had it right the whole time and its just a basic Dinky that plays sweet.

      You're in the right place.
The serial indicates 2008, but the model can't be ID'd with a serial.
A bolt on Strat style is a Dinky, neck thru's are Soloists.

Depending on the number of frets/pickups you could have a JS10, JS12, JS20 etc...
      Google those models.
      96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.
