  • NGD: Jackson PS2 Flame Maple

Hi. Just thought I would start participating by sharing my first ever Jackson, received today in the post.
It's quite battered, but plays well and the flame top is very nice. I can't wait to get it set up.
The seller swears it is Japanese, because of the branded tuners and pickups, but I am not that sure, due to the seven digit serial number. Any opinions would be welcome.

Welcome to the forum. That would be Korean due to the spacing of the 12th fret inlays being far apart, also the serial number starting with 10.
I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

Thanks toejam. As I suspected. Good thing I got it cheap and it is quite good for the price.

Yes, Korean. Those numbers aren't date coded, but they began in '95 and production moved to Japan circa '97-8.

The Japanese Performers had a 7 digit 9xxxxxx serial.
        96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.
