  • Jackson Soloist Pro XL 1993

Hey all, I am trading for this Soloist Pro. It has finish cracks all over it, but I don't care. I plan on stripping it anyway, well maybe, depends. I have a maple top that I have yet to put on a guitar. Just curious if anyone has a pro with these cracks on it and do you know how it happened? I'm assuming the guitar was in the garage, or something, and the heat and cold caused it to crack, but not totally sure. Anyway, on to the pics, thanks in advance.

That's almost certainly damage from the environment. Wood expanding and shrinking during weather changes etc. I suppose there are other theories.
    96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.

It is in the New Hampshire area, that was my thinking too, I guess it doesn't really matter does it? Is what it is. Thanks Mudlark.
