Nothing odd about it, really.
The DK2 is a pro model.
Pro models often come with professional quality pickups, same as USA models. Pups such as EMG's or a combination of Seymour Duncans.

As well, unless you bought the guitar new, there's no guarantee the pickups that are in it now are what was put in at the factory.
