  • Japanese RR5 help.

Well, I've bought this guitar a while ago, but never really got into it. It was at the secondhand section, and it has some heavy usage marks on it. It was equiped with a Seymour Duncan Dimebucker on the bridge, and I've changed it for a Dimarzio D-activator that I had. Also, I had to change one of the tuners, and one of the sadles on the bridge. It still has some adjustments to be done on the bridge, as you will see.

The thing here is that after a while I was looking for information about this guitar. However, I got really confused. It looks like a RR1, but has RR5 written on the head. Also, the input jack is at the lower part of the guitar, meaning it's kinda stupid, because thats where your leg is!

I've searched a lot, and I always come at similar models, but any of them look exactly like mine. I'll put some pics here, so you guys can see it better.

Can you guys help me find more about this guitar? Thanks! =)

    (Sorry about my english )

Not an RR5, as they would be neck-thru and have sharkfin inlays. Looks like somebody just put RR5 on the headstock with a marker. We need better pics of the back of the guitar.

Does the font on the RR5 look like the Stars font?

Doesn't have sharkies or a recessed jack input and it's a bolt-on. It's not an RR5 or even an RR3, unless someone changed the neck.

I don't think the RR3 had an output jack like that or in that location even.

I think the early RR3's had that jack/location, but I'm going from memory, so...

Can't tell if the tremolo's are the same or not, though.
