  • Jackson PRO DK2M Floyd Rose FRT-O2000 or 1000 Series ?

    Hi.

Just wondering, every retailer lists the DK2M as FRT-02000 but the Jackson site says 1000 series.

    1000 Series.

Recessed Floyd Rose FRT-O2000 double-locking tremolo.

    Thanks.

The Jackson site doesn't say 1000 Series, it says Floyd Rose...unless I'm missing something?

Looks like the FRT-02000 on the DK2M, which is part of the 1000 Series Original. The 01000 is chrome, the 02000 is black, 03000 is gold, and so on.
    96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.

At the bottom of the page in the middle.

"Pro series guitars feature Floyd Rose® 1000 Series tremolos"

The bottom of the Jackson page, in the actual description of the unit, says it is a 2000.
The middle of the Jackson page say 1000 --- but that is a general description of Jackson, not the unit itself. A dead giveaway is the fact that it says "neck through and bolt on".

            Ahhh...now I see it.
To confuse people even further, there's the 1000 Pro series and the 1000 Original series.

I've seen a huge number of owners of the FRT02000 trem that think they own a German made FR because the word 'Original' is used in the description of the FRT2000. Some aren't happy to hear the truth.
