  • How much relief in your jackson Solist?

How much relief in your Jackson Soloist? Mine was dead flat, and I adjusted it a little, to where its more..almost as much as a a regular Strat, but it looks like it's bit too much , and that these guitars need very little relief?

My best playing guitars are flat, but some need a little relief, just the nature of the beast.

I don't like totally straight. Usually around .005" to .008".

I'm so sorry, but what do you guys mean with 'relief'? English is not my first language...

Tho, neck relief is achieved through adjusting the truss rod to either lean forward or lean back. There are many reason to do this environmental changes like humidity seem to be the biggest reason I've encountered. Some players also like the feeling of having some relief....

This link will explain a little - http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Tools/Sp...ief_Gauge.html

                Got it! Thanks Jayster!

I honestly don't know what relief I have.. A friend of mine allways adjusts my guitars and does a hell of a job. I think it leans back a little.
