Rhoads Professional Pro Bridge replacement

Hi,

I'm looking to upgrade my pretty worn out Rhoads Pro Pro. I want to know what kind of trouble I might run into replacing the JT-590 by an OFR (I know about the extra routing needed for the locking bolts).

I think it's either #3 or #4.


I'll also have the pickgard replaced by a wood one made out of Wenge or Ebony. Might want to replace the tuners, is it worth it?

Is it worth it? Yes! Buy a Schaller Floyd instead of an OFR. The nut is R3 I think, someone else here will know for sure.

Lot easier to get new same style Schaller trem as jt-590. The nut should be R3. Take current nut off and check the marking on the bottom. If original tuners are working properly it is no use changing them on locking trem guitar. The tuners on the guitar are made by Gotoh so they are good quality.

I agree the tuners are not that important with a locking nut.

Yes it is. I've owned a Schaller and a few JT590 and they are identical. Only differences they made were for durability of the base plate where the intonation screws attach to the baseplate. It will be a direct swap
