Just as I was finishing work today, I suddenly felt like buying a guitar. The plan was to try and pick up MIM Squier. Well, so much for that idea..............
I walked in to the store & there it was, finally, a local shop with an SDX hanging on the wall. So, I spent an hour with her, then had a go of grey SLXMG (amazed that they had this as well). After 30min with that, trying to decide what to do & talking the guy into further discounts on the sale prices, I bought the SDX.
No pics as you've all seen them before. It's the mandatory maple board/black guard version. Shaft me sideways, this thing is stellar. I was hoping it'd be good but never imagined i'd bond with it so well. The stock p'ups sound awesome, the finish is immaculate, hardware very smooth & stable, & that neck is sublime.
I was always gonna get one being a huge Maiden/Smith fan, just stoked these guitars are so incredible. No plans to mod, this is sweet straight of the rack.
Damn it, time to go to bed. All I want to do is play, I f'king love this guitar.
