  • New Jackson owner !

    Hi there !

I'm french so, sorry if my english is bad.
Since few days, i own my first Jackson guitar, It's a DK2FF made in Japan.
Here are some pics of it :

I'm really happy with this guitar, the next step will be to change the pick ups. It is from 2003 and so it has Duncan design and not Seymour Duncan on it.

Well, there is nothing more to say than: Congratulation to your first Jackson! As far as I am able to foresight, it won't be your last, but this is another story . The inlays are definitely a highlight and the whole guitar looks like fit as a fiddle. Enjoy it and have a good time with this guitar and the nice community!

                      Thanks for your welcome !

I also think that it won't be my last Jackson. I'm a beginner and I really feel more confortable on the Jackson than on any other guitar I tested (Squier, Cort, Ibanez etc...)
And they have this design, simple but beautiful

Hi there ! A little necromancy post
Since July of 2012 I never posted here again as I was more focused on french forums... even if i continue to follow the JCF times to times.

But the passion for Jackson / Charvel keep growing, and my old DK2FF is far far away now :p

As I am thinking about spending more time on international forums, I make an update of my little collection !

By the way, if I butcher English when I write... sorry, I am French

First, My Charvel Super Stock Silver Sparkle, made in Mexico in a limited run of 175 units:
                          Full stock.

First Charvel, insane quality and sounding for this price !
She started my 80's addiction, and it leads me to buy this one :

Jackson Dinky 1988 hand signed by Mr Grover Jackson himself, limited run of 500 units, Mint condition !
Full stock excepting the bridge pickup, I swaped the old 80s Pearly gates that came in for a TB6.
I like this particular one because of the crackle having more orange and less regular pattern.

Last but not least, my 30th birthday present from my wife !

                          Jackson PCS Exotic Dinky 1994:

A real beast ! I upgraded the base plate of the Schaller with the newer ones... because I had the famous issued with the saddle that got totally loose...
And the previous owner put a set of EMG 89/SA/SA in it. Mint condition !
Best guitar I ever owned and played, I will finish my life with it :p

So.. as I said, the passion keeps growing !

Now I am planing to get some neckthrough, I have enought Dinkys for now I think ^^
Also I would prefer maple or ebony fretboard to have some diversity.
But it is not for now... I will have to save up or sale to continue

Love that silver sparkle! And yeah, looks like your taste got a little more discriminating!

                            And welcome back!

They are all nice, but the H/S crackle is really catching my eye.
