  • RR5 question

I saw an RR5 at a local pawn shop today. It was White with the RR pinstripes and all gold hardware. Neck through and string through body. White headstock. I'm trying to remember, but I think it had Seymour Duncan's in it. It was in pretty good shape, but the points on the body were ding'd and missing some paint. It definitely needs a good cleaning, but the neck was straight and frets were in pretty good condition.

He was asking $750 for it. Is that too much, or right around where it should be priced?

Is it okay to ask these things on this forum?

That's kinda what I was thinking and why I didn't grab it. I was thinking around $400-$500 at the most...

        I think that's too low. 500-650. 650 should include a case.

500 600 with case but haggle down some because of the damage.

The dealer can afford to ask a premium in some respects because this model is out of production and is a high quality guitar. Soon there won't be a ton of them left in retail.

they go through times where they are really hard to find. Then you will see a bunch of them.

But they are super nice guitars. And they absolutely SCREAM.

I'd say about $600 in good condition, with case would be fair

The dealer maybe, but this is a pawn shop...

$750 was the haggled down price!

Way to much. Honestly I've seen a ton on ebay sell for less than 500 with case on ebay.

he might think it's a RR1. Can't say I've seen many pawn shops know what they have.
