    Yeah, I missed that thread. A noble effort, but I'll need to go over it very carefully and have kc7txm make corrections. This part is fairly unclear:

    "7 Digit Serials
    Starts w/ | Type of Jackson Guitar
    9 | 1996+ MIJ (all MIJ series, even JS MIJ), started with 96xxxxx and went up sequentially (97,98, etc)"

    and can be easily misconstrued...

      I don't see the old serial number lookup FAQ, where did it go to with the new site design? Do you know RacerX ?

        96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.
