I need some information on my Jackson DK2

Hello this is my second post and I thank you all in advance. I bought this guitar from ebay about year and a half ago and I love this guitar the JB pup is one of the best I ever played with. This is my 2nd Jackson guitar and will be with me for life. From all the info I could find it says it might be a 97-98 Japan made Jackson I just want some confirmation if that info is correct. I don't know a lot, but I thought black hardware meant it was more recent, like 2007 or newer?

Yeah, I thought it was around the end of 2006 that the bolt on pro series were upgraded to real Duncans and black hardware.

If you're guessing '97 based on the first two numbers of the serial, well, the serials aren't as simple as that! I'm afraid I don't know much about them though.

Yeah this is much newer. 976xxxx is probably 2006-07 era.

mines a dk2 9765505 on the neck when i took it off says 2006
