  • Need Some ID advice from the Import Gurus

    Import Jackson Gurus,

Can you offer any insight to what this might be?

    Dinky Body
    String-thru bridge
    2 Hum (EMG 81/85)
    3x3 "smurf" headstock
    Rosewood board w/dot inlays
    22 fret neck (bolt-on)

I gotta say I'm perplexed on this one. Looks like a bolt-on SLSMG with a rosewood board and 22 frets...

    Fake?

    Thanks in advance.

I'm not know that much about these but the js, x, mg series had those headstocks for a few years. the js and x had the dot inlays. If it's one of those I think the pickups are an upgrade. I remember some with sharkfin inlays had emg hzs at somepoint.

It's a Jackson SDK ("Super Dinky") model of some sort - at least the neck is from one. I didn't know they came with a fixed bridge, and at the angle of the pic, the body shape is hard to see. The SDK bodies were downsized Dinkes that were rather ugly IMO.

It does appear to have the SDK body, too. The pickups aren't stock.
