  • Questions about a DK2

    Hi there...

There is a really good deal on a DK2 (the old model, the one with duncan designed pups and chrome hardware)
I just wonder how are this guitars? how are the duncan designed?
I have a Dimarzio Evolution that may put in this guitar.

    Any feedback wil be appreciated.

Here are some pictures from the seller

      LOVE my DK2.
      Same model at pictured.
Changed out the bridge PU to a Duncan Distortion.
      Otherwise very good quality.

I recently bought one of these. I ended up buying a second. I had had more experience with the more recent models that come with the real seymours and those ones are, in my opinion, rubbish compared to the post 2001 models with chrome like yours. The duncan designs are waaaay underrated pick-ups. For what i use them for: Metal, progressive, hair metal and some blues rock, these pickups better the seymours that the new ones come with two fold. I am a dimarzio guy by preference, not by choice. I loved these pickups and left them intact, except for one of my DK2's which i bought without the bridge pick-up because i didn't want the SH-4 he swapped in. Why pay more for something i don't like. Here are some pictures. I think you will be surprised how well this guitar plays and sounds. If you have a good deal, take it. I got each of these ones for around 300$ each .
