No neck plate engraving means fake right? Is it blank or just doesn't say Jackson?
I hooked up my accelerator pedal in my car to my brake lights. I hit the gas, people behind me stop, and I'm gone.

No the jt500 is a cheap trem that looks just like the jt590. No name is on the plate. It's on all the lower end jacksons.

My first Jackson was a "new" DK2 in 2005. But it didn't come with a s/n neck plate, and was branded "USED" on the back of the headstock.

From what I was told, these were overstock blow-outs, and to sweeten the deal, no warranty. The neck stamp and blank neck plate was to prevent future warranty claims.

I don't really care because it is a beautiful darkish metallic purple (Pavo?), with a really red rosewood fretboard. I swapped the chrome hardware to gold, so neck plate doesn't matter either.
