"yeah im talkin to u lol" LOL! Cool thanks Dude! Still didn't tell me your name! LOL! \m/ Your XL is BAD ASS! How does it play? Is the Neck on the Thin side like my Kelly? I think the Neck on mine couldn't be any better...It's P-E-R-F-E-C-T! I just wish it didn't bother me as much as it does (Per my Neck Injury's) @ times I have to put it down & play the Kramer. It's becoming a "Wall Hanger" I don't know what I am going to do with it? The thought of selling it KILLS me but I need a Axe I can play. I'll see what happens. Anyway what do you think of the Green XL on E-Bay right now? Guess some of you know the History Etc on that Axe? It looks like a pretty decent Axe?? \m/

        96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.

        • Hi there everyone,

Could you help me identify a Jackson Performer (probably a 1998-1999 model) made in Japan with serial 8618760 (Bolt neck)?

I've looked up other posts and I can't seem to be able to match the serial to anything.

If your serial started with a 9 I would say it was made in Japan, probably 1997.

Thanks for the prompt reply. That's what I've read, but it starts with an 8 as you can see here:

It was bought in the summer of 1999, so that's why I was guessing it should be a 1998-1999 model. Perhaps earlier.

I've never seen a 7 digit Japanese serial that started with an 8. Hopefully someone can help you. If you remove the neck the pocket should be stamped with the date if you wanted to be certain.
