Stock Model series pickups

My main axes are stock 3DRs, whats the output of the bridge pickups and do you guys think they are 'HOT' enough for HardRock/MetalShred type music?

I love the pickup in my 3dr , seems pretty hot to me. The rest needs to be left up to your amp.

which is an MP1 --> Marshall 20/20 setup.. plenty of gain to be had?? doesnt seem as shred/saturated as my Line6 Pod Rig..

LIne 6 has a lot more gain then a marshall. You can't get any heavier then the uber metal.

perhaps thats part of the conundrum, trying to compare digital hiGain processors with an analogue pre-amp; my ears may be more akin to the processed sound these days... its certainly 'easier' to dial a decent tone in with line6 stuff

You will never approach the gain of Line 6 with tube gear, at least not in my experience.

But that's a good thing IMO. Line 6 gets muddy really fast.
