Too bad some fuck nut converted it to a hard tail.

Might be salvageable though. Looks like they left the trem studs in.

I don't think that one would be all that hard to make right.

Yeah... probably wouldn't take much to get it working right.
May not be pretty, but it would probably make a great player.

I almost bought that last week. After the cost of the trem and lock you would have a great player but one that looks fugly and almost cost as much as a nice one.

Never seen a bridge conversion quite like that, what the heck did he do?!?

Looking at the pic, it looks like someone stuck a v-trem, not a hard tail, in there.
You can just make out the arm socket.
Not sure how good the intonation on that would be.

                    The red one?
That one is local... well the other side of town, but still in driving distance.
I may have to check it out.

Did you see the 86 Model 3 with the Kahler?
They want $699 for it. :ROTF:
                      They think it's a USA.

Looks like it was routed first for more room to pull up, as those had the non-recessed JT-6.

A little too much trem drama going on for my taste.

Yup the red one. The JT-6 looks a little cruddy from the pic, but I bet WD-40'll bring it back, and from what can be seen in the pic, the rest of the guitar looks pretty damn good.

I have a 5FX that has that same partial pull-up route from the factory. There were more than a few that had it. Some didn't some did.
