I want to buy a simple guitar for gigging and I was wondering of these are any good and how much they are worth:

he's asking 180 euro.. what is a charvette anyway?

are those really made in the usa?

about the charvette.. is it complete plywood or is it an ok guitar? IF I but it I will probably slap an EMG81 in it..

All Charvettes were made in Korea. They were your basic introductory guitars. The materials used on them were very much on the low end. They offered several models that were reminiscent of their big brother Charvel models, they even offered a low priced Fusion Deluxe.

Funny thing about that pic is that I'm not finding that model on the old MoAIP. It could be that Kevin may have missed it, but it *might* also be that the neck may have been replaced on a Fusion SS.

I think some charvetts were made in japan.Case in point I bought a beat charvette just for the hardware,trem was a kahler knock off fulcrum type.Tuners were jap gotohs neck was jap no question as the 12th fret dots were in the jap location.The body was solid basswood.I would have restored it but the body was too far gone and the neck had been shaved almost to the truss rod.The pickups were 2 j-ioos with a j 80 bridge pickup covered with the charvel logo.

i always thought charvettes were made in germany at "musima markneukirchen"
musima became bankrupt this winter
this is why all the musima factory parts sell on german ebay this year
correct me if i´m wrong please
