Nice Score! Regarding the bar, you can use an Ibanez Edge bar with that trem. Budman also makes replacement bars for JT-6 trems, you can purchase them from www.fretsonthenet.com or shoot him a PM.

That's an amazing find! Most used (heck, most guitars - period) at GC are dented and dinged. To find a guitar that old in that sort of condition is a minor miracle!

I can't believe how minty this one is - not a nick, scratch, chip, dent, pick mark or even a polish swirl on it! The "Made in Japan" sticker is on the back of the headstock and the truss rod cover still has plastic on it. Just needs a little oil on the fretboard and a good setup and it's ready to play.

This is an '87 model based on the serial number but it's on the back of the headstock and not stamped into the last fret like my other model 6. Does anyone know why they are different? Did earlier models have the serial number on the headstock and later models start with the fretboard stamping? Other than that, I haven't noticed any difference yet.

By the way, it didn't come with the trem bar. Does anyone have an extra trem bar they can part with? This is the kind that just pops into the trem. Shoot me a pm if you do.

Another guy posted above that he has an '87 Model 5 with Kahler; that's what he's referring to.

BTW, an Ibanez popin bar will work if you can't find a JT-6 bar.
