Model 5A - Info?

Hi Everyone...
I'm new to the board, and it's good to be here...

Can anyone tell me what the scoop is with the Charvel Model 5A? I can't seem to find it in any of the catalog scans posted. What year(s) was it offered? Colors? List price? Are they fairly common? Any help would be appreciated...

Welcome to the board. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] I believe they were only made in '88... taking off from the EVH 1 hum/1 volume craze. I had one for a little while, in Black Cherry, thought it was a great guitar. I believe they were also offered in white and black, not sure of what other colors. Some that didn't sell got sent back to the Jackson factory and got a slanted single coil in the neck and became the 5FX, some also got tone controls added.
