  • Charvel Standard info

anyone know anything about these? I just picked one up, should be here in a few days. Just wondering what to expect. I probably won't keep it. I've got a friend who wants to start playing electric guitar (he has a shitty stella acoustic) and this may be a gift for him, or if it's neat, I may use it to give my lessons on.

    Any info?

I've got a black Charvel standard..It's a decent guitar BUT my only gripe is that the action seems a little too high for my tastes..I've tried to lower the action by re-adjusting the saddles which seemed like an awesome idea but only to find out that the strings fretted out..I then attempted to install a shim but I've given up..[sighs]

the neck is "C" shaped..sort of/kind of thick but still comfortable throughout the entire fingerboard [I wasn't blessed with Steve Vai length digits]..overall nice neck..the action still sucks though [on my guitar anyways] but other owners may have a nice killer action...
