  • Help with Model 7 neck identification

Hi there, I'm new to this forum. and new to Charvel. I just brought this model 7. looks tele shaped. I searched the forum and it seems that they all had a reverse headstock. this doesn't. it has. TE 1 stamped on the heel. I asked the seller if he changed it ? he said he brought it from Japan as is. I'd love to know it's origins.
    thank you in advance.

not sure what neck that is to be rose wood with no holes for a sting lock. the model 7 guitars are reverse head stock and are painted to match the body. model 1's have no string lock but they are maple board. by the r logo trade mark it is in the 87-89 year range. unless it is a fake neck with Charvel water slide. I really hate people that do that.

That's interesting thanks for that knowledge. Bummer for me if it is a fake neck. I wondered if the same letters stamped were the neck is housed and at the base of the neck being the same may of meant it's from the same thing. But I guess if they can fake a neck stamping a few letters wouldn't be to hard.

Models 7's came with a reverse headstock maple neck, which was pretty rare. A lot of people would want the neck to make a clone of a famous guitar. I want to say Criss Olivia but I'm not 100% sure.

Your neck is likely a common Model 2 or 3 neck. Or an 86 Model 4.

Or it is not a Model 7 as mentioned above.
