san dimas MIJ neck differences?

Hi all -

So I have 2 MIJ San Dimas (black, red) and their necks are different. I'm not sure what years they are but do you know if there was a difference in necks between the years? How many years were the MIJ pro mods released? I really like the neck on my red san dimas and would like to know what to look for in terms of years when looking for another one.

Could one or the other necks be an aftermarket retrofit?

The red one feels slightly thinner and almost a D shape whereas the black guitars neck is slightly thicker with almost a c-shaped neck. I doubt either were aftermarket mods.

Chushin Gakki hand shaped necks, so there was quite a bit of variety from guitar to guitar at times.
