  • New MIJ Socal went from a H/H to a H/S/S

I got this from the music zoo a while back and decided to make it a H/S/S.
had my tech cut the guard from a blank sheet and kept the Dimarzio it came with in the bridge
but added a push pull pot to tap it a tone pot, and added an Area 61 in the middle and a virtual heavy blues in the neck.
My White one is for sale now (in the classifieds) because this one is better suited for the blues rock project
I'm involved with (plus I have plenty of H/H guitars). Man I love this thing

Great! It needs a black Fender tone (labeled only) knob!

Cool mods. Love the heavy blues PU in the neck, too.

What's with the chrome Floyd posts, though?

              Nice. Needs chrome tuners, though.

I didn't have a black tone knob at the time (I do have one on there now) .
It came with the Chrome posts in there. I have the black ones in the case. I think the previous owner put a chrome OFR on it
and kept the trem and put the stock black one back on when he sold it. I wonder why he did sell it though as it plays really well
and sounds great. oh well my gain, this has turned into my main player for the Blues Rock project I'm involved in .
The Heavy Blues and the Area 61 have really impressed me (My first time trying Dimarzio singles).

do you think your tech still has the pickguard template?

Probably I can ask , why you have a blank you want to send him?
I used this guitar at rehearsal yesterday (first time) I am really impressed and surprised at how good a toneZone sounds tapped.
the band loved the sound of this guitar, so I'm glad I went this route, it's very versatile now.
