  • Word on the Street...Cyg Finally Gets a Model 6

Not that I'm a stranger to Charvel Model 6's.
Just never took the time or paid the resources to actually own one for myself.

No pictures yet (or for a little while).
I was a little apprehensive about the color description and
all of the pictures of the Black Cherry finish made it look like some
    kind of weird purple.
I rationalized...well if it's a great player I can live with it, then trade
    for a different color.

    Uh, Hell No!
It actually kind of flip-flops but the basic color is best described as a
    dark copper.
A nice compliment to the Model 88 as a matter of fact.

It's an 86, so the Kahler is love/hate for some.
I happen to love the Kahler for the low profile, tuning stability, and the stiffer feel.
Tuned it up and played it unplugged for a good 2 hours.
There is almost no wear on this guitar.
Makes you think it must be a dog, a closet queen.
Nope...great playability and natural acoustic tone.
The neck is perfect for me...thin flat D profile almost identical to the 88.

I just plugged it in and have yet to explore the stock Jackson setup.
But when I feel myself "shredding" unplugged, I already know this guitar is a winner
and has easily stolen the #1 hanger on the wall.

    Thanks again straycat!
