  • 2002 standard info

I just pick up a quilted standard. It looks like the truss rod adjustment allen size is 5mm. Can anyone verify that? Also, how does the 5 way switching work? It has a cool rails in the neck, hot rails in the mid and sh-14 for bridge.

Finally, the truss rod is frozen. I can't get it to budge. I've never had to apply much force before and I've adjusted several. Is there any trick I don't know about?

EDIT: I assume the 2 and 4 position of the switch splits the respective hums into single coils.

Yes, Traditional thanks. I hit the truss rod with a little wd 40 and it did the trick. Nice guitar. I really like the neck.

Yeah. I'm like that little bit of extra that the thumb rides on. I like my Jackson and Ibanez necks, too. But this has a nice feel for me.

The guitar does need a little TLC. Some buzzing through the amp that goes away when I touch the jack or knob so it must be a grounding thing. A trem saddle is buzzing and I need to move the nut over to the left a bit. All small stuff.

You know, you play a guitar like this and wonder why people spend 2.5-3k on an axe. Then again, I guess I would too if I had the doe! lol
