Dammit are Model 6 mini toggles easy to fix?

My guitar is getting old at 23! So i guess its bound to start breaking down abit.

The mini toggle in the middle
that i have wired for the neck (its a EMG81 X SA setup) has started to heavily cutout when used, it feels loose mainly.

I had a look inside and no wires are broken its just loose.


How do i fix this? Or am i better off taking it to a shop and getting it swapped with the un-used toggle?

If you can handle a soldering iron it's very easy to replace

This. Yeah I usually go ahead and swap out all three with fresh ones when faced with this. Otherwise, that odd shaped or colored one will STARE at me...FOREVAR!

Hmmm looking at the pic in that bottom link are the mini toggles screwed into the back part of the assembly? Because might just need tightening?

AH HA! turns out the tiny bolt just needs tightening, whats the best tool to use on such a tiny thin bolt? Mightjust take it down to the local guitar shop n get it tightened there.

A tiny thin wrench?

Dave has them at frets on the net.

Pliers work fine just hold the switch in position and tighten the nut on top. Very easy to do yourself.
