  • Pawn shop find - Charvel Strat CHS-2

Picked this up fairly cheap in a pawn shop. All the parts were intact except the knobs, but the dang thing was filthy. I think someone bought it 15 years ago, played the he** out of it, and never cleaned it once. Anyway I love being able to revive an old player and make it look and play the best possible so it was a fun project.

I gather this is a mid-90's Korean import. Has no markings, not even on the neck pocket or under the pickguard (what up Charvel?). Nice thin neck and the Jackson pu's sound really good. Anyone know the deal with the truss rods on these? Not adjustable?

Yep mid 90's Korean.Pretty decent guitars really.
The truss rod adj is at the heel of the neck just take it off and adj it.

I've bought and sold a lot of guitars and never saw one where you had to take the neck off to adjust the truss rod. How can you tell if you got it right? I guess it's a lot of trial and error. That's wack.....
