Where can I get A Floyd II basplate for my Charvel's JT-500?

The intonation threads in my Charvel's JT-500 trem have been stripped since I got it back in October. I was reading this today:http://audiozone.dk/index-filer/TremoloInfoProject.htm, and it said the Floyd II baseplates have hardened steel inserts for the intonatin threads so I want to get one. Anyone know where to find one? I looked on eBay already with no luck. I think I'll just have to suck it up and pay $200 for a Schaller.

My understanding is that the baseplates are hard to get a hold of...HOWEVER there is a link that one of these sneaky SOB's found for JT-590 baseplates that should work fine for you.......Do a thread search, it's in there somewhere. Searching "Schaller baseplate" will probably do it.

That's an OFR baseplate. He needs a Schaller Floyd baseplate. Rockinger has them. Not sure if they'll ship to the US, but if the OP is in Europe, he's in luck.

Considering that the jt-500 isnt the greatest trem, wouldnt it be more cost effective to just replace it with an aftermarket schaller clone or floyd special?

It may be more cost effective to buy a whole new trem. AXcessories has OFR's for decent price. I'm not sure if the OFR posts will be a direct replacement.

I'm fairly positive an OFR won't fit in the JT-500 route.. Longer lock bolts.

The OFR wont fit in the rout. Look for a JT590, its a Jackson branded Schaller. Or just a straight up Schaller... can usually find them for around $60 give or take.

So, its for a 275 deluxe? It wasnt specified what model guitar so I didnt know that the rout shape was a factor. Didnt that come with a single locking trem? I think if youre just a bedroom player and couch noodler, any of the $50 schaller knockoffs will work just fine. If youre in a serious band or something, then yes get the more expensive trem. I myself could not see dropping $200 into a $200 guitar just to get it back to being worth $200.
