  • Restomod Model 88 need some parts help

So I know its prob sacrilage to have this piece like this but when I got it it was on its last leg.

It had taken a bullet to the upper contour edge

    Chunks out of all sides

Finish was beyond what I would call road worn

    Wrong pickup ring

    Hammered JT6

    Etc...ETC...EtC....eTc... you get the point

So we stripped her down, and did some very fine fill work that cannot be seen. We then redid the burst, though it came out without the gold hue as strong it looks great.

We left the grain on the surface with a nitro finish (still may lay some more clear to change this havent decided if I like it.)

Swapped in an OFR and a better volume pot

I need to know where to get a pickup ring? a set of screws, and some nice new cavity covers. Pics to follow.

            Original neck?
If yes then you are good to go.
Looks like the rosewood on yours is like mine...very dark, very tight grain.
            Real close to ebony.
            Find a J95 for it or...at least a J90C.

Mine has an EMG85 at the moment, subject to change.
            But I love that axe!

personally, i would stay with the guitar rather than the old lady. my 88 is ALWAYS consistent and never goes out of tune. super light and since it's mahogany it has a really nice sound
