  • noob JT-6 to OFR question

I have searched the archives but I'm a noob at replacing a bridge. I want to replace the JT-6 on my model 6 and model 3 but not sure what I need to do. I am sick of finding parts for the JT-6.

I just need to know what OFR to get and how to put it on, I searched but don't really know how to do it or what I should get.

    Thanks

OFR (made in Germany preferable), 42mm block since neither are recessed, maybe replacement posts. (http://www.fretsonthenet.com/ImCharv.htm). Other than that should be a straight drop in.
    My gear
    87 Charvel Model 6
    86 Charvel Model 4
    93 Jackson RR EX
    93 Jackson Kelly STD

No. You can put a floyd nut on, but that requires modifying the nut area of the guitar to accept it.

On any trem swap the safe thing to do is to leave the locking nut if already installed. It saves a lot of trouble.

you shouldn't have to get new trem posts either. the jackson posts are interchangeable.
