  • Nothing fancy

Picked this up Tuesday afternoon. A customer of mine works for GC and called me when it hit the floor.
87ish Kramer 100ST Floyd II all original but paint was in sad shape.
I cleaned it up buffed what could be buffed and gave it Coverite vinyl rising sun.
It plays well after some tweaks and has that 80's mojo tone.

    Neat!

I had a 300 ST way back when... I butchered that thing (did that a lot then, still do it occasionally today!) and rattle-canned it, and I'm not really sure what ever happened to it. I *THINK* that it ended up with a Kramer "American" series neck on it and some guy who had never played before was the new owner. I feel sorry for anyone who picked that up used thinking they were getting a gem....

Is that a plywood body? I've got a 600ST that my parents bought me for Christmas back in '86, plywood body, shitty single-locking Floyd II, but the neck is nice and it sounded pretty decent.

Yep, they're plywood (all of them I've ever seen) but they actually don't sound too bad.

Yep. It's plywood and the floyd II isnt too bad if you tinker with them a bit.

Yeah, that Floyd II can be okay if you don't abuse it, but I put a real Floyd on mine many years ago, dropped in a DiMarzio X2N and was pretty happy. The guitar has been retired for a few years now due to the Floyd wood-screw posts tilting forward. I still have the Floyd II around here somewhere.

I'm just going to leave this one as is. It's on the one hum wall with about 8 other 80's Kramer,Charvel and Gibson one hums.

Dude, it was a present from them. By saying that, you just broke their hearts. Kids are just like that nowadays...

It served me well for many years, though.
