exactly my question. I just saw the shape advertised in the last two GW magazines. now, epiphone comes up with the same? xcept for the Dean's shitty head-stock. Dean finally let someone use their design because they cant stand their own headstocks anymore.

If I remember correctly - This was a Gibson model a while ago. Zakk wanted them to make one for him, they didn't want to. Dean built him one in which he played and so Gibson make him this and that custom V to take the place of the Harpoon V.

least that was what i was told. how try it is I don't know. And even if it were a Dean first, how could Gibson do it? Uhm the same way Dean is able to do a Flying V and explorer with different names.
