Have you tried black knobs with the white pickup selector? I think that might look cool.

Thanks for all the comments guys, I appreciate it!

The logo was from a guy on eBay, he makes them up to suit whatever you want. I asked him to do it just like a real Fender one, but with "Freya" and "Made In Scotland" under there, which you can't see in the crappy pics. It was, I think, £12 for the decals.

Looks like everyone prefers white knobs to black knobs.....
I think the white knobs actually look a bit bigger than the black ones, which is kinda weird, it should be the other way around!

I was playing the guitar for a wee while earlier on (a very wee while, since baby Freya wouldn't sit nicely while daddy messed around on her guitar ) and it sounds great. I love the bridge/middle combo, it sounds really nice. I just need to learn how to play "Brothers In Arms" and "Said She Was A Dancer"(Tull song) now.
It's not as much fun as a humbucker guitar, but for clean stuff it's great.

          Pink knobs, obviously.

          Or possibly red.

Or then again, can't beat a nice shiny purple knob. (Well, you can, but it will spit at you)

          Satisfied now chaps?

Oh, Martin, now you are officially the UK's premier Marlin restorer, I'll look some out for you to do!!
So I woke up,rolled over and who was lying next to me? Only Bonnie Langford!

          I nearly broke her back

I have tried pink knobs. They didn't work at all, trust me.

I should change my name on here - Martin Barre is the guy from Jethro Tull, not me. My real name is Steven!

I don't think I'd bother restoring another Marlin to be honest, they weigh a fucking ton. Like a Les Paul weight in a strat body. Since the only thing a strat beats a Les Paul on is the nice light body weight, Marlin's seem to have the worst of both worlds!
