Gibson Faded V arrived yesterday

It came in a padded gig bag, and when I opened the box, it had been standing on its head.

No problems though - yay for thick padding

Cool! Love V's...

I saw a cool looking LP Studio with the same finish on the Bay today. Whoever had it sanded down the top, finished it in tung oil, and added some zebra Duncans. They left the sides and back the 'faded cherry' color, which leaves it with a neat two-tone finish. The thing looks killer!! The top really looked nice with the oil finish - there was a little bit of figuring in the top, almost flamed.

I might have to watch for one to turn up cheap and do the same thing...

Sounds like a winner.

I had an '84 Gibson V a few years ago (rear loaded with the fancy pins) and this thing plays tons better. The neck on the other one felt kinda wide and uncomfy, but this thing's like a Jackson neck.

I'm on my second one of these. I have the 2002/2003 ones with the ebony fretboard and crescent inlays. Good times. Nice score!

Sweet! I got one of the red faded Studio LPs a few years ago, and it rocks!
