  • Which company is most likely to give YOUR band an endorsement?

It's a thing that happens more and more, to have entire band endorsing a single brand, Megadeth is endorsing Dean, Children of Bodom is endorsing ESP, The Cure is endorsing Schecter. You get the idea.

Now if some representative of a big guitar corporation would take a look at your band's gear and offer your band an endorsement where you are free to get as many guitars as you want from that brand and with all the mods you can think of, which brand is most likely to step up?

In my band it would be very obvious, I play a 1984 Ibanez Roadstar, Roger plays Ibanez Universe seven strings, Dave plays Ibanez Soundgear basses and Josh our drummer uses Tama Drums. So Ibanez would probably be happy to supply us with gear if we ever make it big.

Wow, you guys suck when it comes to your equipment. What I meant was an endorsement deal on what you are already using.

You guys basically admit in your answer to using Gorilla amps and first class guitars

It depends on the company I think.

Is your band a well known name or an up and coming act? I doubt very much you will get stuff for free when you are starting out, more likely you will get a discount off the price of the gear. Would you give free stuff to somebody unknown?

Well, it´d be a no-brainer looking at our current gear. Me and the bassplayer plays Jackson, and the other guitarist alternates between Jackson and Kramer. No correlation regarding amps or fx, though.

No. nobody said they use this stuff. You suck on asking questions maybe...

                    lol. j/k

I think if you play out enough and bring in a huge following then that is the first step to getting some freebies or discounts on the gear.

Regarding the "good stuff" - I think that the really pro gear is just harder to get because everyone wants it, they don't need to give it away, and those companies are saturated with requests fro endorsement requests. In reality it is probably very level playing feild when it comes to one brand being easier to get an endorsement from than another that is equal in quality and popularity.

I don´t think he´s asking about how likely it is for a band to be endorsed, or how you go about making it happen... I read it as a funny little question that basically asks about which companies it looks like your band is endorsed by already, even though you´ve just bought all the stuff straight up.

So basically, all he is asking is what equipment we use? I too took his question as a joke since most of us will never get an endorsement. I guess I should have read his entire post.
