  • Switch guitars.

    So, anyone know anything about these things, or vibracell technology?

    Appeared several years ago and flopped.They played good and the tone was ok.Interesting they are a polymer plastic impervious to heat and cold.Injection molded so the color is in the plastic no need to paint.

      We have them in a music store close to me down here.
      They are usually on the cheappy rack. in the $4 hunj range
      Never tried one, but then I didn't like the look of them either.

          I believe Switch owns Drive, hence why Drives look like Switch guitars (random thing). As for being owned by the company that makes OLP, I'm not sure about that. I played one awhile back, Not bad, not great tonewise, though it was comfortable to play. I just couldn't get over them looking like a Parker Fly knockoff though.

              I read a few of their ads before I saw them in person at a local store. I'm open minded to different construction techniques (like Rainsong, Ovation, Parker, etc.) but, the Switch guitars just didn't sound like anything more than $200-$300 guitars. I wouldn't bother.

                I heard they named them Switch because after you play one for 15 minutes you will switch to another brand and never look back....
