Ah - only 250 made. Now that explains the crazy money. I was thinking they made shit loads of them like some of the later models.

very cool guitar. can you give me a range on what "crazy money" is? everyone seems to have a different idea about that and i'm just curious what these actually go for.

I have been doing this for many years. I was around when all of the cool '80s "old school" stuff was new. I have seen most of what there is to be seen (at least when it comes to '80s gear), but I have never seen one of the non tilt Barretas in person. They are that rare...

Tell us the story about how you got it. How much did it cost? Thats a really cool piece to have. Kramer dudes would kill for that guitar.

no biggie...just picked it up in a local shop...reminded of my first good guitar which was also a kramer baretta...but with a different headstock...i saw it...had worked a few weeks (always good) and needed a bacjup guitar for live...it was only after i bought it that someone told me what it was...d.m.

Cool guitar man! I like the matching headstock
Kramers are cool, I have 6 of them, but no Baretta yet.

                    rock on!

Nice Baretta d.m. Here's my 85' that I custom ordered back in July of 85. It only took 4 months to get it. Seems quick compared to the wait time today on a custom ordered guitar, It didn't at the time.

that red one is cool...in 84 when they started making them they all had matching headstocks...and you could have any color you wanted...as long as it was black or creme...rotflmao...d.m.

That red one is another rare one. Most of them has rosewood boards. Not many had maple until the pointy '86 era and '87 American Series.

I passed on a non-tilt Baretta a couple years back for cheap. OK, go ahead and kick my ass, I'm an idiot. LOL
