  • GASing for a Hamer Cali - talk to me...

How are the Korean Cali's? I need those extra 3 frets for a couple of classical pieces I am working on.

Any models that should be avoided?
    750xl, 88LE, AT1, Roswell Pro, SG-X, 4 others...
Stilletto Duece 1/2 Stack, MkIII Mini-Stack, J-Station, 12 spaces of misc rack stuff, Sonar 4, Event 20/20, misc outboard stuff...

Why do I still want MORE?

Are they still making a Korean model with 27 frets? I think all the current models are 24-fret, which takes away my favorite feature. In any case, I've heard that the early Korean Californians were good, but that the trems were questionable. The Duncan Designed pickups are what they are, just as on the Jackson imports.

A store near me had a USA Californian for sale a while ago for $500. Actually, I think they had a couple of them.

I remember both of them being in very good or better condition.

      Odds are, they're still there.

There was a gorgeous one in the classifieds of the Hamer forum. A stunner in cherry sunburst. I think it was $1200 or so. It was an original all flame maple one. Check this thread
