• Les Paul GAS cured

I scored a sweet deal on a '59 Historic yesterday.

tippiehim, didn't you just buy another Les Paul about a month ago? I remember something about a story where you tried out some different ones and took one expensive one home... i think it was you...

Wow!!! The board looks a little dark, but that's nothing a little lemon oil won't fix up! Congrats.

Looks pretty light to me - about like the board on my Explorer, or a Ric 4003. Your computer's acting up, bro

                  Nice one, Tim

Oh for the love of all things good. Nice catch, Newc. Yes, I meant LIGHT. What the HECK was I thinking? In my experience, lemon oil darkens up light rosewood boards nicely. That's what I was trying to say. Oh boy.

I guess you thought it was a Mapleboard.

                        Re: Les Paul GAS cured

Yeah, the board needs some lemon oil. The nut is also cut too high for my taste. Other than that, this is a tone machine and plays wonderfully. Believe it or not, I got this at GC. And, no, they didn't have the case - imagine that, no case at GC. Doesn't matter, I showed up with a case in my car in anticipation when I went back to buy it So now my Agile fretless Les Paul copy has no case.
