• ESP jake e lee

i used to have a jake e lee signature esp guitar. it was just like his #1 fender/charvel, white with the black pickguard and rosewood fretboard. it was a really sweet guitar!! wish i still had it.. anyone else dig these guitars? i sure wish they had strat headstocks like his. but overall a great guitar with style and great sustain for a bolt on.

I've never played one but i'm curious how they feel VS the charvel version ..

I've always wanted one of his ESP models. They also have the short 24.75" scale and two different size frets. Frets 1 through 12 are jumbo, and 13 through 22 are smaller. Jake spec'd those guitars out that way.

i remember the shorter scale length. they played really well. it was a bit thin and didnt have a trem, so i sold it, but now i wish i hadnt.
as far as comparing it to a sd charvel... the esp had a satin finish on the neck and had a little thicker radius.

I had one. Very well built guitar. I loved the two different size fret wires too.

THe pickups left a little to be desired but not too bad. All-in-all it played nicer then Any of the 20 or so Fenders I have owned through the years.

Then again, ALL the ESP Strats play better then Fenders..
