    BC Rich experts, HELP!!!!

    Hi:

    Could some of you BC Rich experts here help me out. What is this puppy worth?? [img]graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img]

    It is a 1986 USA ST-3 S/N 89935 neckthrough made in the LA Custom Shop according to Tim Keyes. It has the Kahler Pro w/Kahler flip locks [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img] , rosewood board, neckthrough, angled neck, Grover tuners, aluminum cover plate, and originally had Dimarzio pups but were changed to EMG's. [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

    Somebody mentioned that it was basically a dead knock off for a San Dimas era Student Soloist. It may also be true that this may have been designed by Wayne Charvel during his stint at BC Rich.

    Any info you could give me would be appreciated.

      yep thats about right, to a hardcore BCRich collector it may be worth 5-600 but those guys would have wanted original pickups. the fact it does not have the standard ST-3 horns kinda sux, but they are rare , & kinda ugly. that & the kahler are not good selling points. BTW that how BCRich would do kahler lock cut the truss rod cover. also later production ST's had a route all its own not the rounded one like your which is the same as an Eagle.

          I like that guitar. As a matter of fact I have one like it but mine is black. The neck feels like a Jackson nice and wide! I bought mine for $350 in 98. Mine came stock with DiMarzios.
          Mine is mahogany wings and neck [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]
          As someone stated about the horns...I agree the horn cut outs suck. But over all the guitar rocks
          was yours a 5 digit S/N too? mine is 89XXX
