I prefer alder. I use my guitar with a Peavey Triple XXX modded by Voodoo Amps, so getting feedback and harmonics out of the amp is really easy.

Thanks Chuck. I can't wait to have that guitar in my hands. I thought hard about exchanging pickguard and pickups but I just love that white pickguard, so I'll take my chances with the Dimebucker and the lil'59. Worst case scenario is that I don't like them. Solution: Put a Tone Zone and a Fast Track1 and presto!

I was thinking of getting a maple body maple on maple neck.What do you think of this wood combination?And what pickup would you put in?Its going to be just 1 humbucker in it.

I'm no expert but maple body/maple neck combo would sound too bright in my opinion. Why a maple body?

Im sorry,I should of said a mahogony body with a quilted maple top.The reason I want that is I have a cust shop jackson with that wood combo and it sounds killer.It sustaines for days nice low end chunk and still has a nice ballance for the highs.Think lp.And the quilted top imo looks fukking incredible.I have emg in all my guitars.If I do go with a gmw with this wood combo what pickup would you put in?I play all meatl.maiden,priest,megadeth,to slayer.I dont want emg I love them but have them in all my guitars.I want to try a new pup.

I have a GMW USA BC Rich ASM replica that has a mahogay body with a maple cap and a maple neck with an ebony board and it sounds incredible. I had Lee installed a Duncan JB in the bridge and a Duncan JB.Jr in the neck position and the guitar screams with this pup combo.
